If you buy a can of polyurethane, be aware that it will probably rust inside. It’s a good idea to decant it into another container (or several containers) for longer-term storage. That way, you won’t get rusty specks in your supply.
And while we’re at it, don’t dip your brush into your main supply! Whatever invisible particles on your brush will get into your varnish (including MICA). Instead, decant some of this into a smaller bottle or jar you dip your brush into.
Not sure what to use? Don’t BUY a container! Once again, hit the recycle bin. Your great-grandma was onto something with all those baby food jars she saved!
