About this Piece
When I was a child, flocked wallpaper was in fashion. This abomination was in the form of printed patterns, sometimes in patterns like seen above, that were dusted with flocking powder. These raised, velvety patches always felt gross to me. Something tells me that cat fur would have stuck to them terribly. Anyway, this attempt at finding a way to modify liquid clay to make it like lava came out more like the wallpaper in my grandparents’ bathroom. Wild, red, and flocked.
