Day 11 – Integration

This is Day 11 of my 100 Days of Wall Art project. You can learn more about my 100 Day Project here.

About this Piece

I’ve had this in my mind from the beginning, and with this project, I now have an excuse to play with it for a while. It’s no secret I’m a bit of a color fanatic, and I have long been fascinated by how colors change when they overlap. Because it’s not just about color, it becomes about light, form, interaction, and integration. I wasn’t really anticipating how the overlapping colors would become shapes of their own (since they’re opaque when unbaked), so that’s one more thing to consider next time. Iteration is definitely the word of the month for me.

Construction Details

I’ll share progress pics and how-to information in each day’s post in the 100 Days Section of Blue Bottle Insiders. You can see all my projects (so far!), along with those of dozens of other members who are posting their daily projects as well. You can join Insiders here.
