About this Piece
You’re probably catching on by now that the 100 Day Project isn’t a showcase of Ginger’s Best Work. This is me pushing myself to try new things, whether they’re gonna work or not. (Maybe this should be called 100 Days of Trying Stuff.)
On Days 7, 8, and 9, I was carving raw clay. This time I carved baked clay. Hmm. Let’s just say that you’re never very good at anything that you’ve only done a few times. I’m far more comfortable doing things with clay that can be done over. This is frustrating because once the carving gouge slips and gouges…you have a gouge. Not really a surprise, I suppose.
