About this Piece

One more try with this technique, and while it’s better than yesterday’s attempt, it’s still not something I want to pursue further. Not at this point anyway. Hot tip…if you’re going to carve raw polymer clay, make it cold. Frozen clay was easier to carve with less drag. But you don’t have the same kind of control that you have with pottery. The clay (plus condensation) is hard to handle, and I know from experience that carving in other ways is better. So that’s what we’ll continue with next. This is why 100 days isn’t nearly enough time to explore things, because it really does take a lot of iteration to figure things out. Stop assuming your first blah result is a failure. No such thing.
