About this Piece

Two days ago, my trusty monitor died, and I had to order a new one. Not an anticipated expense, and certainly not one I enjoyed shopping for. It came this evening and even though I bought a higher end one with (supposedly) pre-set color calibration for art use…um….well…let’s just say it’s not. So I futzed around with it for an hour, and it’s still oversaturating the cyans. I did try to adjust accordingly by looking at this image on my laptop and also my phone, but it still doesn’t look exactly like the real-life piece.

The yellow contains some Cernit Neon Yellow. Please be aware that digital sensors can’t really capture fluorescent colors accurately, and I know this is part of the problem. I had trouble with the magenta on Day 10, looking red because of this.
