Unlike most other brands of polymer clay Fimo is slightly water soluble before baking which means that it can mix with water and become sticky. This becomes an issue when you’re trying to use water as a mold release to prevent the clay from sticking to tools. Fimo becomes sticky, making the clay stick even more to the tools!
