About this Piece
One of my favorite mindless ways to unwind after a (very) long day is to watch an episode of classic 70’s crime TV. Lately we’ve been mowing down the old Hawaii Five-0 series. It’s a delightful peek into 70’s culture, fashion, interior design (oh my, the beach homes!) and TV production. And when the island really did erupt, they conveniently turned it into an episode with great footage of the volcano. So that’s the inspiration here.
