About this Piece

I’ve previously tried to make the base of these pieces all polymer clay and then add a hanger later. But that means you have to use a lot more clay. This time, I used a 4×4″ cradled wood panel. I got this one from Amazon (affiliate link). Hm. Well, if you do this and it matters a lot, go for more expensive panels. This one was pretty rough (though I could sand it and repaint it). But the frustrating thing was that it wasn’t square. I cut the clay exactly to fit, and then it only fit one way on the board, which really threw me. But for a practice project like this they worked just fine.
