Day 3 – Dabs and Dust

This is Day 3 of my 100 Days of Wall Art project. You can learn more about my 100 Day Project here.

About this Piece

I had little time to work on this until after our Drop-In because I was busy with some urgent website stuff. I do all the web development for The Blue Bottle Tree, and that can mean I’m over my head sometimes. Today was a long day of trying to figure things out. I thought my creative brain was utterly empty, and I had no idea what to make for day 3. Oh no, stuck already!

But then, while I listened to Paula talk about the gorgeous leaf book she made with polymer clay, inspiration struck. It always does. I started dabbing the clay on a 4×4 base of light blue clay, and then it was just a matter of finishing it. I like it!

I don’t plan on making all 100 Days square tiles, but so far they have been. Other things are coming. We do have 97 more days!

Construction Details

I’ll share progress pics and how-to information in each day’s post in the 100 Days Section of Blue Bottle Insiders. You can see all my projects (so far!), along with those of dozens of other members who are posting their daily projects as well. You can join Insiders here.
