What People Are Saying…

Categories: ,

This is a beginner level tutorial that requires no previous polymer clay experience. I don’t, however, cover the basics of working with polymer clay, so if you’re new to this material you might want to add my Getting Up to Speed in Polymer Clay informational primer to your order.

The Organic Beads Tutorial is 65 pages long and contains 185 photographs.

This tutorial does use silicone mold putty, but if you don’t have it I do include a recipe to make your own that will work fairly well.

Designed to be a compatible with my Rustic Beads and Components Tutorial, the shapes of this tutorial can be colored and distressed using the Rustic Beads techniques, and vice versa.

  1. This tutorial is the perfect complement to the Rustic Beads and Components tutorial here. And, it’s fun all on it’s own too. Like all of Ginger’s tutorials, it’s easy to follow with great photos, and lends itself to endless creative possibilities limited only by your own imagination.

  5. WOW! I really enjoyed going thru this tutorial. The instructions are step by step, clear pics , and you must take this tutorial if you’re going to take the Rustic. They really go together. 7. This tutorial is just amazing! The techniques are very unique and produce lovely beads. Ginger goes into every step in detail with lots of pictures, so following along is a breeze. She has suggestions for endless variations; you can just keep going and create tons of different beads. She takes pains to make sure that the materials needed aren’t exotic and are easily available: a great example is the recipe she has included for mold putty alternative. She’s also very approachable if you have any questions. Overall, this is definitely one of my favorite tutorials ever!

As always, Ginger presents concise information with lots of ways for us to make it our own. I’m never left trying to puzzle my way from one step to the next. And this Organic Bead tutorial has opened my eyes to ways of making less labour intensive (no sanding! no worrying about fingerprints! Yay!) and totally unique beads. Thanks, Ginger.
