FAQs —

After Sales Questions and information about my courses

Immediately after you have bought a course you will receive emails that include a receipt and information about how to access your courses. If you don’t receive those emails within a few minutes, check your spam folder.

If you didn’t receive those emails, no worries! You can go directly to your account to access your courses and order information.

If this is your first purchase, an account was automatically created for you. If you don’t know your password, just click the lost password link and follow the instructions.

Once in a while, a customer mistypes their email address when purchasing their courses, and then all the emails are going out into the ether, making a reset impossible. If you’re still struggling and suspect this might be the issue, please contact support with the correct email and the name you used to purchase. We’ll look into it!

My courses are provided online with digital access. The courses are not physical books, and they’re not sent by email. Just log in to see the courses and download any associated PDF document (if available)!

Might you be logged in with a different email address?

Each email address creates a different account, so it’s possible you have accidentally created an extra account. Log out first, then try logging in with the email address that you originally used when you purchased your course. You’ll find it there.

If you need to combine several accounts, please contact support with all of the emails you’d like to combine, and make sure to tell me which one you’d like to use.

Just go to this page and put in your email address and password. If you don’t know your password, you can request a new one by following the lost password link.

If you are using a social login (either Google or Facebook), make sure that you’re using a device that is already logged into your Google or Facebook account you used when you created your account with The Blue Bottle Tree

To avoid this sort of problem I strongly suggest using a username and password for accessing The Blue Bottle Tree.

No problem! You can access any of your purchased tutorials and courses by going to your account. Visit this page to access the “My Courses” tab and you should see the most recent version of the course there.

If you don’t see the course you expect, might it be in another account under another email address? It’s not uncommon for people to have multiple accounts.

Most of my courses are in written form in a self-guided online course format, which you view using your device’s web browser. Most of the courses can also be taken in a downloadable PDF format that you can read offline on any device.

The courses are heavily illustrated with large, clear photos that show everything you need to know.

A few of the courses are only in PDF form. Please read the listing carefully to learn which format each course is in.

The courses are not videos, though there are sometimes video snippets provided when motion is helpful to show something specific.

My courses are in English and are sold in US Dollars.

To know what the prices are in your currency, there are many currency conversion tools online, such as https://www.xe.com/. When you buy a course, your credit card company will do the currency conversion seamlessly. There’s usually a small (1-3%) fee that your bank charges to do this.

You can easily translate my online courses by using the page translate options built into many modern web browsers, which can be set to translate to any major language.

You can change the email associated with your account by going to this page and changing your email address.

Note — My Biweekly Emails

Are not a part of my courses and use a different system, so the best way to change the email address where you receive those is to unsubscribe and resubscribe using your new email address. Not signed up to get those? You can sign up here.

As a general rule, I don’t offer discounts. I do run large-scale discount periods as a thank-you to all my faithful followers and customers, but only about twice per year.

Oh that’s wonderful! To purchase your subscription membership to Blue Bottle Insiders, just go here and purchase it from my shop. You’ll receive a series of emails that explain how to get started. I can’t wait to meet you!

Unfortunately there is no pause feature for Insiders. If you’d like to pause your membership, feel free to cancel your membership and sign back up when you’re ready to resume. If you use the same email address, your account data will re-populate when you return.

To cancel your Insiders membership, just go to your account here and then go to the “Subscriptions” tab. You can cancel your subscription there.

You’re welcome to rejoin at a later time and we all will be glad to see you again!

I’m sorry to see you go, but I understand that life sometimes gets complicated! To cancel your Insiders membership, just go to your account here and then go to the “Subscriptions” tab. You can cancel your subscription there.

You’re welcome to rejoin at a later time and we all will be glad to see you again!

Connecting with The Blue Bottle Tree

Due to the number of questions that I receive, I’m not able to respond individually. Please do a search on my website Click here to see what I’ve said about the topic.

If you don’t find the answer you’re seeking, it’s possible that it’s covered in one of my courses. Please have a look at them here.

If you’d like to work with others in learning more about a specific topic, please consider joining Blue Bottle Insiders. We have many experienced clayers in our midst who are happy to help. We also have many live “Drop-In” sessions, which are similar to office hours, where you can ask questions and get guidence.

Due to the number of requests, I’m unable to provide one-to-one help with your project. But that doesn’t mean there’s no help available! Here are some ways to learn more:

  1. Search the website for relevant articles, here. Most problems have common causes and you’ll likely find information that sheds light on your issue.
  2. Consider joining Blue Bottle Insiders. The other members will be happy to help you find solutions, either in our group forum or during our live zoom Drop-In sessions.
  3. Purchase a mentoring session. I offer one-to-one mentoring sessions for help with more involved projects.

To unsubscribe from my bi-weekly emails, look at the bottom of any email for the unsubscribe link. Click that and follow the instructions.

Be aware that emails regarding your orders (also called transactional emails) are direct communications about your purchases and there’s no need to unsubscribe from them.

You are not automatically added to my email list. You must specifically subscribe and confirm to be added to my email list. I do not spam.

That’s awesome! You can write a review, recommendation or testimonial here.

I’m happy to speak to your guild or group as time allows in my schedule. I also have limited workshop slots available. Please get in touch, and we’ll talk!

I generally work alone, and I don’t work with guest authors for my website’s articles. However, there are many opportunities to collaborate within Blue Bottle Insiders.

I do a limited number of product reviews each year. I generally purchase these items outright and do not take review requests. If you would like to donate your product, I will usually be able to use it as a supply or “prop” in my articles. You can read more about this in my Terms and Conditions here.

That’s great! Please get in touch and let me know your suggestion, and we’ll put it on the list!

About Ginger

No, I’m not an employee or contractor for any other business. Because I want to be impartial in the information I provide, I am completely independent. In reality, I work for you, the reader, customer, supporter, and member of the polymer clay community. Thank you for your support!

Technically and officially, I’m the co-owner of Davis-Allman, LLC, which is the official company that holds The Blue Bottle Tree and Blue Bottle Insiders. My husband and I are the sole owners.

My website, articles, and even me are not sponsored by anyone. I am independent. I don’t generally take on any affiliate relationships. The one exception I currently have is Amazon. Like many websites nowadays, many of my product links are Amazon Affiliate links. You can learn more about that in my Terms and Conditions.

It’s often stated that I’m a scientist. What’s up with that?

Yes, I was trained in science. I have two degrees in microbiology and worked as a molecular biologist. I stopped working in research once I had my third child. After that, I became a single mom and that meant employment was dependent on my children’s needs, not that of a career. I haven’t worked in science for many years.

Although I didn’t go to art school, in university most of my electives were art classes, so I’ve paid my dues there.

I was one of those students who couldn’t understand why I was supposed to choose between science and art. So I have always indulged in both. They go well together!

While most of my focus has been on my courses and Blue Bottle Insiders, I have also been published in several polymer clay magazines and have been interviewed in podcasts and live events. You can see a list of those resources here.

As you can imagine, it’s very busy here and I receive many messages each and every day. I’d love to be able to answer everyone’s questions, but I don’t have the bandwidth to accommodate everyone’s request.

Please review the questions above. I’ve chosen topics that will cover most questions that are asked. Feel free to submit your question here, and I’ll add it to my list of questions for an upcoming social media post or email.

If you need specific advice, I recommend looking into purchasing a mentoring session, you will find more information here.
